I carried on about brilliant weather in my last update - and now we are having appalling conditions with rain and wind, floods and damage!
We bought a holidy house in Toronto on Lake Macquarie last year and just love to get out of Sydney on the weekend. With 5 adult children and 5 grandchildren it is a wonderful oasis of calm for us to enjoy each other's company.
But not the last two weekends! If you live up that way or on the Central Coast and got damaged or lost power I really feel for you. Hope things will improve for you quickly.
Maybe you could pass on to other mums your stories of coping through it all with young children. Sometimes telling others helps and reminds the rest of us that things aren't too bad after all.
