A TRUE STORY

For 5 of the longest minutes of my life I lost sight of my 4 year old grand daughter last week. We were in the crowded food court of a large shopping centre and she wanted to go to the loo. I turned to pick up my handbag from the table, reached for her hand and she was gone. She was nowhere to be seen. Five minutes later she walked up to me, smiling happily probably wondering why I looked so upset! As she is inclined to tall stories I have no idea where she went and I never will.

It reminded me of the time over 35 years ago when my own daughter went missing from a family outing and when we found her she protested "I wasn't lost Mum - you were!"

Which only proves that "the more things change the more they remain the same"
or that I should not be trusted to mind children! Pat

GOOD DAD - BAD DAD

The other day in the shop a Dad came in looking for a costume to hire for his little girl for Book Week. She tried on lots of costumes and liked each one. Dad, however, remained worried that they were not finding the right one.

Finally he narrowed it down to two and asked one of my staff members
"If you were judging the competition, which one would you make the winner?" Hey Dad - it's Book Week not the Oscars!
